Fires in Almeria

July 14, 2009 9:38 PM We have a big fire on the mountains. I saw the lightening strike the mountain this morning when I was working nearby. It started as just a small plume of smoke and has grown all day with the high winds. These are some pics I took an hour ago from above Consum. This is smoke, not cloud. It goes out over the sea to the horizon. I was not high enough up to see the fire site as it has gone down the mountain a long way. The mountains are blocked by the smoke. Ash is everywhere. Cortijo Grande has been evacuated. Kim
